Parashyne is a new band founded by vocalist and composer Tanja Härkönen.
Parashyne’s music is a blend of solid and melodic heavy metal guitars, catchy vocals and even some extra spice of somewhat proggy bits.
The debut EP titled “One”, released in 2022 was made in co-operation with the guitarist Samuli Federley and bassist Strutter.
In June 2023, a new bassist, Fía Kaipainen took over the bass duties as Strutter could not continue due to other projects. Later the same year Tomas Kasprzyk joined to fill the still empty drummer spot.
After the release of their debut Full-Length album titled “Calibration”, in late summer of 2024 Parashyne announced a change in guitarist. The mantle of lead guitarist was moved to Benjamín Machín due to Samuli having his hands full with his own solo career and numerous other projects.
Sadly, after a short time, also Benjamin had to step aside due to lack of time in winter 2025. Luckily it did not take long for the band to find Aitor Jimenéz, who wars ready and eager to fill the spot.

Later the same year, the drummer spot also faced changes, as it became evident Tomas was no longer able to make enough time for two bands, and we mutually agreed Parashyne was the one that needed to go. Again fortunately the new drummer was right around the corner, as Fía had someone in mind that would be interested. And so, Pauliina Anttila took up the drums and joined as the new youngest member of the band.
On the same go, as the lineup was reshaping, it was a good time to resume the search for a permanent second guitarist, that Parashyne’s live performance still needed. Yet again, help was not far, and this time Aitor had an ace in the sleeve: namely his guitar teacher Leevi Lehikoinen. Leevi had been longing to join a metal band for some time, so it didn’t take much persuasion at all and he was ready to jump in to share the guitar responsibilities with Aitor.
